  1. Conduct legal research and analyze state and federal laws to provide accurate and timely legal advice to the Office of the Attorney General.
  2. Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs, to support the Office's position in legal proceedings.
  3. Represent the Office of the Attorney General in state and federal courts, administrative hearings, and other legal proceedings.
  4. Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the Office to strategize and develop legal arguments and theories.
  5. Communicate and negotiate with opposing counsel, government agencies, and other stakeholders to resolve legal disputes and reach favorable outcomes.
  6. Maintain a thorough understanding of current legal trends, developments, and procedures to ensure the Office is up-to-date and compliant with all laws and regulations.
  7. Provide guidance and support to staff and clients on legal matters related to the Office's mission and duties.
  8. Manage and prioritize a high volume of legal cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all legal matters.
  10. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance legal knowledge and skills.
  11. Act as a representative of the Office of the Attorney General in various community outreach and education initiatives.
  12. Contribute to the overall success and reputation of the Office by demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Aba-Accredited Law School

  • Admission To The Connecticut State Bar

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Practicing Law, Preferably In A Government Setting

  • Strong Knowledge Of Connecticut State Laws, Regulations, And Legal Procedures

  • Excellent Oral And Written Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Present Legal Arguments And Communicate With Clients, Colleagues, And Judges.
