- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to identify data needs and provide guidance on data collection, analysis, and utilization.
- Drive the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Provide guidance and support to data analysts and other team members on data-related projects and initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in data management, analytics, and governance, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to data management, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Lead and facilitate training and workshops to improve data literacy across the organization.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision making within the organization.
- Collaborate with external partners and vendors to leverage data resources and technologies.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively to support data initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
- Act as a spokesperson for the State of Florida's data initiatives, representing the organization at conferences and events.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the progress and impact of data initiatives.
- Mentor and develop team members to foster a high-performing and innovative data team.
Advanced Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Data Science, Computer Science Or Business Analytics.
Minimum Of 10 Years Experience In A Leadership Role In Data Management Or Analytics.
Proven Track Record Of Implementing Successful Data Strategies And Initiatives In A Large Organization.
Strong Understanding Of Regulatory Requirements And Compliance Related To Data Privacy And Security.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Present Complex Data Concepts To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
