  1. Oversee all aspects of construction projects, from planning to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  2. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines, and regularly communicate progress to stakeholders.
  3. Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project plans and specifications are accurate and feasible.
  4. Manage and coordinate the work of contractors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
  5. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify and address any issues or delays, and ensure project standards are being met.
  6. Review and approve project designs, change orders, and other project documentation.
  7. Negotiate contracts and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions are implemented.
  8. Communicate and collaborate with government officials, community members, and other stakeholders to address concerns and maintain positive relationships.
  9. Maintain accurate and detailed project records, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and financial documents.
  10. Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices in construction project management, and implement improvements or adjustments as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Construction Management Or Related Field: A Construction Project Manager At State Of Florida Must Possess A Strong Educational Background In Construction Management Or A Related Field To Understand The Technical And Financial Aspects Of The Job.

  • Relevant Work Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Construction Project Management, Preferably In A Government Setting. This Experience Should Demonstrate A Track Record Of Successful Project Completion And Management Of Resources.

  • Knowledge Of State And Local Building Codes And Regulations: Construction Project Managers Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of State And Local Building Codes And Regulations To Ensure That Projects Are Compliant And Meet All Safety Standards.

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Project Manager, Effective Communication And Leadership Skills Are Essential To Oversee A Team Of Contractors, Subcontractors, And Other Stakeholders. The Ability To Communicate Clearly And Delegate Tasks Is Crucial For The Success Of The Project.

  • Proficiency In Project Management Software: The State Of Florida Utilizes Various Project Management Software, And Candidates Should Have Experience Using These Tools To Track Project Progress, Manage Budgets, And Communicate With Team Members. Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Other Relevant Software Is Also Necessary.
