  1. Supervise and monitor individuals on probation to ensure compliance with court-ordered conditions and rehabilitation programs.
  2. Conduct regular home and office visits to assess living conditions and provide support and guidance to probationers.
  3. Develop and maintain a positive and professional relationship with probationers to promote rehabilitation and reduce recidivism.
  4. Prepare detailed reports on the progress and behavior of probationers for court hearings and other required meetings.
  5. Collaborate with law enforcement, court officials, and other agencies to coordinate and implement effective supervision and rehabilitation plans.
  6. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats and make recommendations for appropriate interventions.
  7. Enforce rules and regulations set forth by the State of Florida and the Department of Corrections.
  8. Provide guidance and support to probationers in obtaining employment, education, and other necessary resources to aid in their rehabilitation.
  9. Identify and report any violations of probation conditions to the appropriate authorities.
  10. Attend and participate in trainings, workshops, and other professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to the job.
  11. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and progress of probationers.
  12. Uphold the values and mission of the State of Florida and the Department of Corrections in all job duties.
  13. Serve as a positive role model and mentor to probationers, promoting responsible and law-abiding behavior.
  14. Demonstrate a commitment to diversity and cultural competence in working with a diverse population of probationers.
  15. Comply with all ethical and legal standards in carrying out job responsibilities.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice Or A Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree Is Typically Required For A Correctional Probation Officer Position In The State Of Florida.
