  1. Assist in providing high-quality dental care to patients in the community.

  3. Perform chairside assistance during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times.
  4. Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for use by the dentist.

  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  8. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  9. Assist in scheduling and managing patient appointments.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized dental office environment.
  11. Communicate effectively with patients to address any concerns or questions they may have.
  12. Continuously seek to improve job knowledge and skills through training and development opportunities.
  13. Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and customer service.
  14. Uphold the standards and values of the State of Florida's Dental Assistant position.
  15. Represent the dental practice in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Dental Assisting Program: The State Of Florida Requires Dental Assistants To Have Completed A Program Accredited By The Commission On Dental Accreditation (Coda).

  • Certification As A Dental Assistant (Cda): The State Of Florida Recognizes The Certified Dental Assistant (Cda) Credential From The Dental Assisting National Board (Danb) As A Standard For Dental Assistant Competency.

  • X-Ray Certification: Dental Assistants In Florida Must Have A Current X-Ray Certification, Which Can Be Obtained Through The Florida Board Of Dentistry.

  • Knowledge Of Infection Control Protocols: As Part Of The Dental Assistant's Role, They Must Be Knowledgeable About Infection Control Procedures And Adhere To State And Federal Guidelines For Preventing The Spread Of Disease In The Dental Office.

  • Strong Communication And Organizational Skills: Dental Assistants Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Patients And Other Members Of The Dental Team. They Must Also Be Organized And Able To Multitask In A Fast-Paced Environment.
