- Record and transcribe court proceedings using digital recording equipment.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all recorded proceedings.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of transcriptions.
- Communicate effectively with judges, attorneys, and other court personnel to clarify any unclear recordings.
- Edit and proofread transcriptions for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all court recordings.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in court procedures and technology.
- Troubleshoot any technical issues with recording equipment.
- Work collaboratively with other court reporters and staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Adhere to strict deadlines for transcription submissions.
- Provide assistance to judges and attorneys in locating specific portions of court recordings.
- Attend training and professional development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.
- Comply with all state and federal laws and regulations related to court reporting.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and conduct at all times.
- Represent the court system in a positive and respectful manner.
Bachelor's Degree In Court Reporting, Digital Court Reporting, Or A Related Field.
Certification As A Certified Digital Court Reporter (Cdcr) Through The National Court Reporters Association (Ncra).
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Working As A Digital Court Reporter In A Court Or Legal Setting.
Familiarity With Digital Court Reporting Equipment And Software, Including Stenotype Machines, Realtime Translation Software, And Audio Recording Devices.
Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Accurately Transcribe Legal Proceedings With A High Level Of Accuracy.
