Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Academic & Student Affairs to join our team. As the Director, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic and student experience within our state. We are looking for a dynamic individual who is passionate about education and has a strong understanding of academic policies and procedures.   1. Develop and implement academic policies and procedures that align with the state's education goals and standards.
  2. Oversee the academic program offerings and ensure they meet the needs of students and the state's educational requirements.
  3. Collaborate with school districts, universities, and other educational institutions to promote partnerships and enhance educational opportunities for students.
  4. Provide strategic direction and leadership to academic and student affairs staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance.
  5. Create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment for students of all backgrounds.
  6. Monitor and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of academic programs, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations for change.
  7. Work closely with faculty to ensure high-quality instruction and curriculum development.
  8. Oversee student support services to enhance student success and retention.
  9. Serve as a liaison between the state government and educational institutions to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
  10. Represent the state at conferences, events, and meetings related to academic and student affairs.
  11. Develop and manage a budget for academic and student affairs initiatives.
  12. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in higher education to continuously improve the state's academic offerings.
  13. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the academic and student affairs departments.
  14. Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including students, parents, faculty, and government officials, to promote transparency and gather feedback.
  15. Uphold ethical and professional standards in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In An Academic Leadership Role, Preferably At A Higher Education Institution.

  • A Master's Degree In Education, Higher Education Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Knowledge And Experience In Developing And Implementing Academic Policies And Procedures, As Well As Student Support Programs.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Faculty, Staff, And Students From Diverse Backgrounds.

  • Demonstrated Experience In Budget Management, Strategic Planning, And Data Analysis To Inform Decision-Making In Academic And Student Affairs.
