
Forensic Legal Assistant

- Review and organize case files, ensuring all necessary documents and evidence are included.
- Prepare and file legal documents, such as motions, briefs, and subpoenas.
- Conduct legal research and gather information to assist attorneys in case preparation.
- Draft correspondence and communicate with various parties, including law enforcement, witnesses, and other legal professionals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of case information, including deadlines, court dates, and important details.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, including organizing exhibits and witness lists.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings and appointments for attorneys.
- Provide administrative support, such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing calendars.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and suggestions for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the legal process.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive information.
- Continuously stay updated on changes in laws and regulations related to criminal prosecution.
- Collaborate with other legal assistants and support staff to ensure smooth operation of the legal team.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude in all interactions with colleagues, clients, and the public.
- Assist in any other tasks assigned by attorneys to support the successful prosecution of criminal cases.
Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Legal Studies, Or A Related Field
At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Legal Environment, Preferably In A Forensic Or Investigative Role
Knowledge Of Legal Terminology, Court Procedures, And Evidence Collection And Preservation
Proficiency In Using Computer Software And Databases For Data Analysis And Management
Excellent Organizational And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And Handle Confidential Information With Discretion.
