- Develop and implement security plans and procedures to ensure the safety of individuals with mental health needs.
- Collaborate with mental health professionals to create a secure and therapeutic environment for patients.
- Monitor and assess potential security risks and take appropriate action to prevent any incidents.
- Conduct regular security checks and inspections to ensure all protocols are being followed.
- Train and educate staff on security procedures and protocols, including emergency response plans.
- Act as a liaison between security personnel and mental health professionals to effectively manage any security-related issues.
- Remain up-to-date on the latest security trends and techniques, as well as mental health laws and regulations.
- Communicate and coordinate with external agencies, such as law enforcement, to ensure a timely and effective response to any security incidents.
- Respond to emergency situations, such as violent outbursts or self-harm attempts, in a calm and professional manner.
- Document and report any security incidents or breaches to the appropriate authorities.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of security procedures, incidents, and training.
- Provide support and assistance to individuals with mental health needs, including de-escalation techniques, as needed.
- Conduct investigations and interviews when necessary to gather information and evidence regarding security incidents.
- Facilitate and participate in safety and security meetings to address any concerns and suggest improvements.
- Adhere to all state and federal laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to mental health and security.
Bachelor's Degree In Psychology, Social Work, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Mental Health Facility Or Related Setting.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws Related To Mental Health And Security, Including Hipaa Regulations.
Experience In Crisis Intervention And De-Escalation Techniques.
Current Certification In Cpr/Aed And First Aid.
