- Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal professionals by organizing and maintaining case files, scheduling meetings and appointments, and preparing legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to assist attorneys in building their cases and developing legal strategies.
- Utilize knowledge of legal terminology and procedures to draft legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings, and contracts.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings to gather information and provide updates on case progress.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials and hearings by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and organizing exhibits.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a professional and ethical manner.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in laws, regulations, and court procedures to ensure accurate and timely assistance to attorneys.
- Coordinate with other departments and agencies, such as law enforcement, to obtain necessary information and documents for cases.
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines to ensure efficient and effective workflow.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to public service and the pursuit of justice for all citizens of the state of Florida.
Bachelor's Degree In Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Or A Related Field.
Certification From A Recognized Paralegal Program Or Association (E.g. Nala, Nfpa).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Paralegal In A Law Firm Or Government Agency.
Knowledge Of Florida State Laws And Court Procedures.
