- Develop and implement nutrition programs and policies to promote healthy eating and prevent chronic diseases.
- Conduct research and analyze data to identify nutrition-related health issues and trends in the community.
- Advise and educate the public on the importance of a balanced diet and healthy eating habits.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and community organizations to promote nutrition initiatives and programs.
- Stay up-to-date on current nutrition trends and research to inform program development and recommendations.
- Provide nutrition expertise and support to other public health initiatives and campaigns.
- Develop and deliver educational materials and presentations on nutrition-related topics to various audiences.
- Work closely with other public health professionals, including dietitians, health educators, and physicians, to promote a holistic approach to improving health outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition programs and make recommendations for improvements.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness and reach.
- Represent the state and communicate the importance of nutrition in public health at conferences, meetings, and events.
- Stay informed on state and federal regulations and policies related to nutrition and make recommendations for policy changes or updates.
- Serve as a resource and consultant for other government agencies, community organizations, and individuals seeking nutrition information.
- Collaborate with other public health professionals to develop and implement culturally competent nutrition programs for diverse populations.
- Contribute to the overall goals and objectives of the public health department and promote a positive image of the organization.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nutrition, Public Health, Or Related Field.
At Least 3 Years Of Experience In Public Health Nutrition Or Community Nutrition.
Registered Dietitian (Rd) Or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (Rdn) Certification.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Public Health Nutrition Programs.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, Including The Ability To Work With Diverse Populations And Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals.
