
Senior Child Protective Investigator

- Conduct complex investigations of alleged child abuse, neglect, and abandonment cases.
- Utilize extensive knowledge of child welfare laws and regulations.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children involved in investigations.
- Communicate effectively with all parties involved in investigations, including children, families, law enforcement, and other professionals.
- Gather and analyze evidence to determine the validity of abuse or neglect allegations.
- Document all findings and observations accurately and thoroughly.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers, medical professionals, and legal professionals, to assess the needs of children and families.
- Make decisions and recommendations based on the best interests of the child.
- Provide support and guidance to less experienced investigators.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, policies, and procedures related to child welfare.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Represent the Florida Department of Children and Families in a professional and ethical manner.
- Adhere to strict deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Advocate for the rights and well-being of children and families.
Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Psychology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Child Welfare, Child Protective Services, Or A Related Field.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws, Policies, And Procedures Related To Child Welfare And Child Protection.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, Including The Ability To Effectively Work With Families In Crisis.
Experience In Conducting Thorough Investigations And Writing Detailed Reports.
