  1. Develop and implement strategic plans and policies for public health emergency preparedness at the state level.
  2. Collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies to coordinate and enhance emergency preparedness efforts.
  3. Lead and supervise a team of public health professionals in emergency preparedness and response activities.
  4. Conduct risk assessments and gap analyses to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities within the state's public health system.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, emergency management agencies, and community organizations.
  6. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to emergency preparedness.
  7. Monitor and analyze data related to public health emergencies to inform decision-making and response efforts.
  8. Develop and maintain emergency response plans and protocols, including training exercises and drills.
  9. Serve as a spokesperson for the state's public health emergency preparedness efforts.
  10. Stay current on emerging public health threats and trends, and make recommendations for proactive response measures.
  11. Manage budget and resources allocated for emergency preparedness efforts.
  12. Facilitate communication and coordination between different agencies and departments during emergency situations.
  13. Represent the state in emergency preparedness meetings and conferences at the local, state, and national level.
  14. Provide guidance and support to local health departments in their emergency preparedness efforts.
  15. Ensure accountability and transparency in emergency preparedness activities through regular reporting and evaluation.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Public Health, Emergency Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Emergency Preparedness And Response, Preferably In A Public Health Setting.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Federal And State Emergency Preparedness Regulations And Guidelines.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Coordinate And Collaborate With Multiple Stakeholders.

  • Experience In Developing And Implementing Emergency Preparedness Plans And Conducting Training And Exercises.
