  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the State of Hawaii.
  2. Assist with the management and oversight of state funds.
  3. Ensure compliance with all accounting and financial regulations and procedures.
  4. Perform regular audits and reviews to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
  5. Prepare financial reports and statements for internal and external use.
  6. Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
  7. Participate in budget planning and forecasting processes.
  8. Monitor and track expenses, revenues, and budgets to ensure financial stability.
  9. Provide support and assistance to other team members as needed.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in accounting and finance.
  11. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  12. Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines in handling sensitive financial information.
  13. Communicate effectively with colleagues, superiors, and external stakeholders.
  14. Handle any other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Government Or Public Sector Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Gaap) And Government Accounting Standards.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Accurately Interpret Financial Data And Make Recommendations.

  • Proficiency In Microsoft Excel And Other Accounting Software, With The Ability To Generate Reports And Analyze Financial Data.
