  1. Manage the procurement process for infrastructure projects in the state of Illinois.
  2. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to identify project needs and develop procurement strategies.
  3. Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential vendors and suppliers.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  5. Review and evaluate bids and proposals from vendors, ensuring compliance with state laws and regulations.
  6. Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to secure the best value for the state.
  7. Monitor contract compliance and performance to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  8. Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations.
  9. Provide guidance and support to other team members and departments on procurement processes and procedures.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in procurement to continuously improve processes and procedures.
  11. Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting for infrastructure projects.
  12. Maintain accurate and organized records of all procurement activities.
  13. Report on procurement activities, including cost savings and vendor performance, to senior management.
  14. Participate in cross-functional teams to support the overall goals of the department and the state.
  15. Act as a liaison between the state and vendors, resolving any issues or disputes that may arise.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Procurement, Preferably In The Infrastructure Or Construction Industry.

  • Knowledge Of Government Procurement Policies And Procedures, Specifically In The State Of Illinois.

  • Strong Negotiation And Contract Management Skills.

  • Ability To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Various Stakeholders, Including Government Officials, Vendors, And Internal Departments.
