  1. Manage the financial operations of the State of Louisiana, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  2. Maintain and reconcile financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and budget reports.
  3. Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
  4. Collaborate with other departments and agencies to develop and monitor budgets, track expenditures, and ensure efficient use of resources.
  5. Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial procedures and increase efficiency.
  6. Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting standards, laws, and regulations to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
  7. Assist with financial audits and provide necessary documentation and support to auditors.
  8. Work closely with the Finance team to develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
  9. Use financial software and tools to input and analyze financial data, and prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  10. Communicate financial information effectively to non-financial personnel, providing guidance and support as needed.
  11. Train and supervise junior accounting staff and provide mentorship and support to help them develop their skills.
  12. Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as vendors and government agencies, to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial data and records.
  14. Remain adaptable and able to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth to enhance job performance and contribute to the success of the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or Related Field.

  • Certified Public Accountant (Cpa) Designation.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Accounting Or Finance.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Gaap).

  • Proficient In Microsoft Excel And Accounting Software Such As Quickbooks Or Sap.
