- Manage the financial aspects of all grants received by the state, including tracking funds, monitoring spending, and reporting on grant activities.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and grant requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of grant funds, expenditures, and financial reports.
- Collaborate with other departments and external agencies to gather necessary information and documentation for grant management.
- Monitor and analyze grant budgets to identify potential issues and make recommendations for corrective action.
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate financial reports to grantors as required.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and procedures related to grant accounting.
- Reconcile grant accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Provide guidance and support to other team members on grant-related financial matters.
- Stay updated on changes in grant regulations and ensure compliance with any new requirements.
- Communicate effectively with grantors, internal stakeholders, and external auditors regarding grant-related financial matters.
- Assist with grant budget preparation and provide input on budget revisions as needed.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline grant accounting procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive grant and financial information.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Grants Accounting Manager.
Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Grant Accounting Or Financial Management.
Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Accounting Software.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Grant Regulations And Reporting Requirements.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With Attention To Detail And Accuracy.
