Job Description

We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Direct Support Professional Senior - Behavior Modification Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities to provide support and guidance in implementing behavior modification plans.   1. Develop and implement behavior modification plans in collaboration with individuals with developmental disabilities and their support teams.
  2. Provide support and guidance to individuals with developmental disabilities in implementing behavior modification plans.
  3. Monitor and track progress of behavior modification plans and make necessary adjustments as needed.
  4. Act as a role model for individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting positive behavior and teaching appropriate social skills.
  5. Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities at all times.
  6. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  7. Maintain accurate documentation and records of services provided and progress made.
  8. Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when necessary.
  9. Educate and train staff and caregivers on behavior modification techniques and strategies.
  10. Stay updated on current research and best practices in behavior modification and apply them in daily practice.
  11. Communicate effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, and other team members.
  12. Adhere to all state and federal regulations and laws governing the care and treatment of individuals with developmental disabilities.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  14. Foster a positive and supportive work environment for individuals with developmental disabilities and their support teams.
  15. Continuously evaluate and assess the effectiveness of behavior modification plans and make recommendations for improvement.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Psychology, Social Work, Or A Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of Behavior Modification Techniques And Experience Implementing Behavior Support Plans.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working With Individuals With Developmental Disabilities Or Behavioral Challenges.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Other Team Members And Communicate With Individuals With Disabilities.

  • Demonstrated Ability To Lead And Supervise A Team Of Direct Support Professionals, Providing Guidance And Support In Implementing Behavior Intervention Strategies.
