Job Description

  1. Provide individualized treatment plans and counseling services to clients struggling with substance abuse and addiction.
  2. Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine the appropriate level of care for each client.
  3. Develop and maintain a trusting and therapeutic relationship with clients, utilizing a trauma-informed and client-centered approach.
  4. Utilize evidence-based practices and techniques to effectively address substance abuse and addiction issues.
  5. Collaborate with other members of the treatment team, including therapists, case managers, and medical professionals, to create a comprehensive treatment plan for each client.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including treatment progress notes and documentation of services provided.
  7. Stay current on the latest developments and trends in the field of substance abuse and addiction treatment, and integrate this knowledge into practice.
  8. Educate clients and their families on the disease of addiction, relapse prevention strategies, and healthy coping skills.
  9. Provide crisis intervention services as needed and make appropriate referrals for additional support services.
  10. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards, including maintaining client confidentiality and following HIPAA regulations.
  11. Attend regular supervision and team meetings to discuss client progress and treatment planning.
  12. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  13. Act as an advocate for clients and their families, promoting awareness and understanding of substance abuse and addiction.
  14. Collaborate with community organizations and resources to provide additional support and resources for clients.
  15. Represent the agency and the profession in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Addiction Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Or Related Field

  • Current Licensure As An Alcohol And Drug Counselor (Ladc) In The State Of Minnesota

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Providing Substance Abuse Treatment And Counseling Services

  • Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Treatment Modalities And Best Practices In The Field Of Addiction Counseling

  • Ability To Pass A Background Check And Maintain Confidentiality Of Client Information In Accordance With State And Federal Laws And Regulations.
