- Develop and implement personalized nutrition care plans for individuals with mental illness.
- Conduct nutritional assessments and provide education to clients on healthy eating habits.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop comprehensive treatment plans for clients.
- Monitor and document clients' progress towards their nutrition goals.
- Stay up-to-date with current research and evidence-based practices in the field of nutrition and mental health.
- Provide culturally sensitive and inclusive care to a diverse population.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all client interactions and progress.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Participate in team meetings and provide input and recommendations for client care.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure clients' dietary needs and preferences are met.
- Attend trainings and professional development opportunities as required by the state of New York.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Demonstrate a positive and compassionate attitude towards clients and their families.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Registered Dietitian (Rd) Certification From The Commission On Dietetic Registration.
Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or Related Field From An Accredited University.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Dietitian, Preferably In A Psychiatric Or Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Nutrition And Dietetics, As Well As Experience With Medical Nutrition Therapy And Counseling.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Provide Patient-Centered Care.
