  1. Provide support to mental health professionals in their treatment of clients, including assisting with therapy sessions and implementing treatment plans.
  2. Foster a safe and supportive environment for clients by maintaining confidentiality, respecting boundaries, and promoting a positive therapeutic relationship.
  3. Assist in the intake process for new clients, including completing necessary paperwork and gathering relevant information from clients.
  4. Monitor and document clients' progress and behavior, reporting any concerns or changes to the appropriate mental health professionals.
  5. Collaborate with other members of the mental health team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for clients.
  6. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in mental health treatment.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client information, treatment plans, and progress.
  8. Communicate effectively with clients and their families, providing support and resources as needed.
  9. Adhere to all ethical and legal guidelines in the provision of mental health services.
  10. Contribute to a positive and professional work environment by promoting teamwork and open communication among colleagues.
  11. Maintain a clean and organized work space to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for clients and staff.
  12. Stay current on mental health practices and trends, continuously seeking opportunities for professional growth and development.
  13. Follow all policies and procedures set forth by the State of New York and adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.
  14. Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to cultural sensitivity and diversity in working with clients from various backgrounds and identities.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Psychology, Social Work, Or A Related Field From An Accredited University.

  • Prior Experience Working With Individuals With Mental Health Disorders In A Clinical Or Residential Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Various Therapeutic Techniques And Interventions, Such As Cognitive Behavioral Therapy And Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

  • Ability To Maintain Confidentiality And Adhere To Ethical Guidelines In The Field Of Mental Health.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Rapport With Clients And Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team.
