  1. Develop and implement effective communication strategies to share important information with the public.
  2. Create and distribute press releases, media alerts, and other forms of communication to various media outlets.
  3. Maintain and update the organization's website and social media platforms with accurate and timely information.
  4. Respond to inquiries and requests for information from the media and the general public.
  5. Monitor and analyze media coverage and public perception of the organization.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in messaging.
  7. Plan and coordinate press conferences, events, and other public appearances.
  8. Serve as a spokesperson for the organization, if necessary.
  9. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to public information dissemination.
  10. Identify and cultivate relationships with key media contacts and stakeholders.
  11. Prepare and distribute informational materials, such as brochures and fact sheets.
  12. Stay up-to-date on current events and issues relevant to the organization's mission and objectives.
  13. Train and support staff in effective communication techniques and media relations.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve upon communication strategies and tactics.
  15. Represent the organization at community events and meetings as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In A Public Information Or Communications Role.

  • Excellent Writing, Editing, And Verbal Communication Skills.

  • Knowledge Of Media Relations And Experience In Developing And Implementing Media Strategies.

  • Familiarity With Government Operations And Policies, Specifically Within The State Of New York.
