
Correctional Counselor
The State of Oregon is looking for an experienced Correctional Counselor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing counseling to individuals in a correctional facility, helping them to identify their strengths and weaknesses and develop strategies to address their personal, social, and emotional issues. You should have experience in a correctional setting, be a compassionate listener, and possess strong skills in communication, problem-solving, and decision-making. Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field• Minimum two years of experience working in a correctional facility • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues• Demonstrated understanding of the criminal justice system and its impact on individuals• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Knowledge of evidence-based practices and other relevant best practices• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Responsibilities:
