
Legislative Coordinator
The State of Oregon is looking for an experienced and motivated Legislative Coordinator to join our team. We are looking for a passionate and proactive individual who has the drive to ensure that the legislative policies, objectives, and strategies of the State of Oregon are met. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, or related field. They should also have at least two years of experience working in the legislative or government sector. The Legislative Coordinator must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of legislative processes and knowledge of the Oregon State Legislature. We are also looking for someone who has the ability to work independently and in teams, using critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities:
- Assist with the development and implementation of legislative policies, objectives, and strategies of the State of Oregon.
- Monitor and track legislation to ensure that it is in line with the State's goals and objectives.
- Research and analyze legislative topics and provide reports and recommendations to State leadership.
- Prepare and present information to legislators, stakeholders, and other interested parties.
- Develop and maintain relationships with legislators, stakeholders, and other interested parties.
- Work collaboratively and effectively with other members of the State government to ensure successful outcomes.
- Attend meetings and events related to legislative topics and provide timely updates to State leadership.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for legislative matters.
- Collaborate with State departments to facilitate the implementation of legislation.
- Develop and maintain an extensive network of contacts to ensure legislative objectives are met.
