As a Mapping Geologist at the State of Oregon, you will be responsible for developing geologic maps used by the state and its citizens to enhance public safety, protect natural resources, and support economic development. You will work in partnership with other geologists, state agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure that our geologic mapping program meets the needs of Oregon.Ideally, you will have a PhD in geology, experience in geologic mapping, and GIS expertise. You should have strong technical and communication skills, experience working in the field and with diverse stakeholders, and a commitment to the mission of the State of Oregon. You should also be comfortable with interdisciplinary collaboration, autonomous work, and navigating complex regulations and bureaucracies.This is an opportunity to use your expertise and experience to create maps that will help protect Oregonians, their environment, and their economy.
