
Natural Resource Specialist
We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Natural Resource Specialist to join the State of Oregon's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in natural resources, ecology, and environmental science, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.The Natural Resource Specialist will be responsible for managing, protecting, and restoring Oregon's natural resources. This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to stay current with environmental best practices and regulations. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement natural resource protection, management, and restoration plans and initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate natural resource activities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices.
- Collect and analyze data to inform natural resource management decisions.
- Provide guidance and technical assistance to stakeholders and customers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with partners, organizations, and local governments.
- Maintain current knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices.
- Prepare and present reports, briefings, and presentations.
- Develop and implement strategies for natural resource conservation and restoration.
- Create and maintain accurate records and databases.
- Assist with other projects and tasks as needed.
