  1. Perform and interpret complex chemical analyses on patient samples using state-of-the-art laboratory equipment and techniques.
  2. Ensure accuracy and reliability of results by following established protocols and quality control procedures.
  3. Conduct troubleshooting and problem-solving to resolve any issues with instrumentation or testing processes.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper disposal of hazardous materials and regular calibration of equipment.
  5. Collaborate with other medical technologists and healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate reporting of test results.
  6. Adhere to all state and federal regulations related to laboratory testing, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
  7. Keep up-to-date with current trends and advancements in clinical chemistry and incorporate new techniques and methodologies as appropriate.
  8. Participate in continuing education and training programs to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge.
  9. Assist in the development and implementation of new testing procedures and protocols.
  10. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives by identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  11. Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and patients to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction.
  12. Keep accurate records of all testing procedures and results, and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
  13. Comply with all safety and infection control protocols to protect the health and well-being of patients and co-workers.
  14. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment by promoting teamwork, respect, and open communication.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology Or Related Field

  • Certification As A Medical Technologist By A Recognized Accrediting Agency (E.g. Ascp)

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Laboratory Experience, With A Focus On Chemistry

  • Knowledge Of Laboratory Instrumentation And Techniques, Including Proficiency In Troubleshooting And Maintenance

  • Familiarity With Laboratory Safety Protocols And Quality Control Procedures
