Job Description

  1. Develop and implement community health programs and initiatives in collaboration with other team members and stakeholders.
  2. Conduct research and analyze data to identify health needs and disparities within the community.
  3. Engage with community members and organizations to assess health needs and develop culturally appropriate programs.
  4. Create and deliver educational presentations and materials on various health topics to diverse audiences.
  5. Collaborate with local health departments, healthcare providers, and community organizations to coordinate and promote health initiatives.
  6. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community health programs and make recommendations for improvements.
  7. Stay up-to-date on current public health trends, policies, and best practices.
  8. Maintain accurate and detailed records of program activities and outcomes.
  9. Communicate and report program progress and results to superiors and stakeholders.
  10. Develop and maintain relationships with key community partners and stakeholders.
  11. Assist in the development and management of program budgets and resources.
  12. Participate in meetings, conferences, and trainings related to public health.
  13. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of the job.
  14. Support and promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth in the field of public health.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Public Health Or Related Field: A Community Health Specialist Should Have A Strong Educational Background In Public Health Or A Related Field To Understand The Principles And Practices Of Community Health.

  • Experience In Community Health Work: Candidates For This Role Should Have Prior Experience Working In Community Health, Whether Through Internships, Volunteer Work, Or Previous Employment. This Will Demonstrate Their Understanding Of The Unique Challenges And Needs Of Communities.

  • Knowledge Of Local And State Health Regulations: Community Health Specialists Must Be Familiar With Local And State Health Regulations In Order To Effectively Address Public Health Issues And Promote Healthy Behaviors Within The Community.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Requires Frequent Interaction With Community Members, Healthcare Providers, And Other Stakeholders. The Ability To Communicate Effectively And Build Relationships Is Crucial For Success In This Position.

  • Ability To Develop And Implement Health Education Programs: Community Health Specialists Must Be Able To Design, Implement, And Evaluate Health Education Programs Targeted At Specific Populations. This Requires Strong Organizational Skills, Attention To Detail, And The Ability To Collaborate With Others.
