Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring immunization programs and policies across the state.   1. Develop and implement immunization programs and policies to ensure the health and well-being of citizens in the state of Texas.
  2. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of immunization programs and policies, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote awareness and education about immunization practices and protocols.
  4. Research and stay up-to-date on current immunization practices, protocols, and trends in order to inform program development and implementation.
  5. Provide training and education to healthcare professionals and community members on immunization practices and protocols.
  6. Collect and analyze data on immunization rates and trends in order to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted interventions.
  7. Serve as a resource and point of contact for healthcare providers, community organizations, and the public regarding immunization policies and procedures.
  8. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to immunizations, and make recommendations for policy changes as needed.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies, to support immunization efforts.
  10. Act as a subject matter expert on immunization practices and policies, providing guidance and support to colleagues and stakeholders as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing, Public Health, Or Related Field

  • Current Certification As A Registered Nurse (Rn) Or Licensed Vocational Nurse (Lvn) In The State Of Texas

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Immunization Services, Preferably In A Public Health Setting

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations Related To Immunizations

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Educate And Counsel Individuals On Immunization Practices
