In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to businesses and organizations throughout the state to help them maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and promote a culture of safety. We are looking for a highly qualified individual with extensive experience in occupational safety and health, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to promoting a safe and healthy work environment.   1. Conduct on-site inspections of businesses and organizations to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
  2. Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
  3. Provide expert guidance and support to employers regarding OSHA regulations, standards, and best practices.
  4. Conduct thorough investigations of workplace accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  5. Collaborate with employers to develop and implement safety training programs for employees.
  6. Stay up-to-date with changes in OSHA regulations and industry best practices to ensure accurate and current guidance to employers.
  7. Communicate effectively with employers, employees, and other stakeholders on matters related to workplace safety.
  8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers and other stakeholders to promote a culture of safety.
  9. Prepare detailed reports and documentation related to workplace safety inspections, incidents, and training.
  10. Provide consultation and support to employers during OSHA inspections and investigations.
  11. Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging safety issues and recommend proactive measures to address them.
  12. Represent the State of Texas at conferences, workshops, and other events related to occupational safety and health.
  13. Collaborate with other OSHCON consultants and agencies to share best practices and resources.
  14. Participate in the development and review of state and federal legislation related to workplace safety.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve OSHCON services to meet the changing needs of employers and promote a safer work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Safety And Health Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 3 Years Of Experience In Occupational Safety And Health Management Or Consulting.

  • Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Certified Industrial Hygienist (Cih) Designation Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations Related To Workplace Safety And Health.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Educate Individuals And Groups On Safety Practices.
