  1. Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  2. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential emergency situations and their impact on public health.
  3. Collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies to coordinate emergency response efforts.
  4. Conduct trainings and exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency plans and identify areas for improvement.
  5. Stay up-to-date on current public health and emergency preparedness trends, strategies, and best practices.
  6. Analyze and interpret data related to emergency situations and make recommendations for response and mitigation.
  7. Maintain relationships with key stakeholders and community partners to ensure a coordinated and effective response during emergencies.
  8. Develop and maintain emergency communication plans to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of information to the public.
  9. Participate in emergency response activities as needed and provide support to other agencies during disasters.
  10. Monitor and evaluate emergency preparedness programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  11. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate the status of emergency preparedness efforts to stakeholders and decision-makers.
  12. Collaborate with other departments and agencies to integrate emergency preparedness into overall state planning and operations.
  13. Respond to inquiries and provide guidance to the public and other agencies regarding emergency preparedness resources and procedures.
  14. Serve as a subject matter expert on emergency preparedness and public health issues, both internally and externally.
  15. Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to emergency preparedness and public health.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Public Health, Emergency Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Emergency Response Protocols And Procedures.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Emergency Preparedness Planning, Preferably In A Public Health Setting.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Assess And Mitigate Potential Risks And Hazards.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Coordinate With Various Stakeholders During Emergency Situations.
