  1. Develop and implement public health programs that address the unique needs of diverse communities.
  2. Conduct thorough and accurate health assessments to identify potential health risks and needs within the community.
  3. Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to promote health and prevent disease.
  4. Provide education and resources to individuals and families on a variety of health topics, including disease prevention, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  5. Utilize evidence-based practices and data analysis to inform program development and evaluate effectiveness.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all program activities and outcomes.
  7. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and guidelines pertaining to public health.
  8. Serve as a resource and advocate for public health issues within the community.
  9. Participate in community outreach and engagement efforts to increase awareness and access to public health resources.
  10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and agencies to coordinate care and services for individuals and families.
  11. Stay informed of current trends and developments in public health and use this knowledge to improve program effectiveness.
  12. Provide support and guidance to other team members, including nurses and support staff.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the State of Texas in all interactions.
  14. Demonstrate a commitment to cultural competency and sensitivity in working with diverse populations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or A Related Field

  • Current State Nursing License And Certification As A Public Health Nurse

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Public Health Nursing Or A Related Field

  • Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Regulations And Guidelines Related To Public Health Initiatives
