- Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders to address health disparities and promote health equity.
- Provide direct nursing care to individuals and families, including health education, counseling, and referrals.
- Monitor and track public health data and trends to inform program development and evaluation.
- Serve as a resource and advocate for public health policies and initiatives at the local, state, and national level.
- Participate in emergency preparedness and response efforts, including disaster response and outbreak investigations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records and reports in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Mentor and train other healthcare professionals and community health workers on best practices and evidence-based interventions.
- Stay current on advancements in public health nursing and incorporate new knowledge and techniques into practice.
Bachelor's Degree Or Higher In Nursing, With A Focus On Public Health Or Community Health Nursing.
Active And Unrestricted Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Texas.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In Public Health Or Community Health Settings.
Knowledge Of Current Public Health Issues And Trends, As Well As Local, State, And Federal Public Health Policies And Regulations.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships And Collaborate With Community Stakeholders.
