
Construction GIS Manager (GIS Analyst)
Welcome to the State of Utah's Department of Construction! We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced GIS professional to join our team as a Construction GIS Manager (GIS Analyst). In this role, you will be responsible for providing geospatial data analysis and mapping support for our construction projects throughout the state. - Develop and maintain geospatial data and mapping systems for construction projects across the state of Utah.
- Analyze and interpret geospatial data to support decision-making and planning processes for construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify GIS needs and provide solutions.
- Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date maps, charts, and other visual representations of construction project locations.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of GIS data.
- Train and educate team members on GIS software and tools, and provide ongoing technical support.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in GIS technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage and maintain GIS databases and ensure data integrity.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates and reports on GIS data and analysis.
- Proactively identify and troubleshoot any issues or discrepancies in GIS data.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to GIS data management.
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Continuously evaluate and improve GIS processes and workflows.
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to share and integrate GIS data for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Uphold high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct in all aspects of the job.
Bachelor's Degree In Geographic Information Systems (Gis), Geography, Civil Engineering, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Gis Technology And Applications, Preferably In The Construction Industry.
Strong Knowledge Of Gis Software And Technology, Including Esri Arcgis, Autocad, And Gps Equipment.
Experience In Managing And Analyzing Geospatial Data Related To Construction Projects, Including Land Use, Zoning, Infrastructure, And Utilities.
Excellent Project Management And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Work Closely With Construction Teams And Other Stakeholders To Ensure The Successful Implementation Of Gis Solutions.
