- Advocate for the rights of crime victims and ensure that they are upheld and protected throughout the criminal justice process.
- Provide support and guidance to crime victims, including information on available resources and assistance.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, attorneys, and other professionals to ensure that victims' rights are respected and enforced.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal laws regarding victim rights.
- Coordinate and facilitate trainings for law enforcement and other professionals on victim rights and services.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of victim information and services provided.
- Conduct outreach and education efforts to raise awareness of victim rights and available resources.
- Assist victims in navigating the criminal justice system, including court appearances and accessing restitution.
- Collaborate with community organizations and agencies to enhance services and support for crime victims.
- Stay updated on changes to victim rights laws and advocate for necessary updates or improvements.
- Attend meetings, conferences, and trainings related to victim services and rights.
- Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all interactions with victims and their families.
- Communicate effectively with victims, their families, and other professionals in a compassionate and empathetic manner.
- Work closely with a team of victim advocates and professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated services to victims.
- Assist with administrative tasks and reports related to victim services and rights.
Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Social Work, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working With Victims Of Crime.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws Related To Victims' Rights And Services.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Provide Support And Advocacy For Victims.
Strong Organizational And Time Management Skills, With The Ability To Handle A High Caseload And Prioritize Tasks Effectively.
