Job Description

  1. Collect and analyze data related to disease outbreaks, including tracking cases and identifying patterns and risk factors.
  2. Utilize epidemiological methods to conduct research and investigations in order to inform public health policies and interventions.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and agencies to identify and respond to potential health threats in the community.
  4. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of disease prevention and control measures.
  5. Develop and implement strategies to prevent and control disease outbreaks, including educating the public and creating awareness campaigns.
  6. Provide guidance and support to local health departments and healthcare facilities on disease surveillance and prevention.
  7. Stay current on emerging diseases and public health trends, and apply this knowledge to inform decision-making.
  8. Communicate complex epidemiological data and findings to a variety of audiences, including policymakers, healthcare providers, and the general public.
  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports on disease surveillance and intervention efforts.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures for disease surveillance and response.
  11. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in the collection, use, and dissemination of public health data.
  12. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in epidemiology and public health.

Job Qualifications
  • A Master's Or Doctoral Degree In Epidemiology Or A Related Field, Such As Public Health Or Biostatistics.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Conducting Epidemiological Research And Analysis In A Public Health Or Government Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Statistical Methods And Software Used In Epidemiology, Such As Sas, Spss, Or R.

  • Familiarity With State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Public Health And Disease Surveillance.

  • Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, To Effectively Present Findings And Recommendations To Diverse Audiences, Including Policymakers And The General Public.
