Job Description

  1. Plan and implement Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) curriculum to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities.
  2. Conduct intake meetings with clients to assess their employment goals and identify any barriers they may face.
  3. Develop personalized plans for each client and track progress towards their employment goals.
  4. Provide instruction and guidance on job readiness skills such as resume building, job searching, and interviewing techniques.
  5. Collaborate with community partners and employers to create internship and job placement opportunities for clients.
  6. Conduct workshops and training sessions on disability awareness and accommodations for employers.
  7. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Pre-ETS program and make necessary adjustments to ensure client success.
  8. Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress and services provided.
  9. Communicate regularly with clients, families, and other stakeholders to provide updates and support.
  10. Stay up-to-date on current labor market trends and resources for individuals with disabilities.
  11. Attend meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills related to the job.
  12. Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities and promote inclusion in the workforce.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with clients.
  14. Collaborate with other Pre-ETS instructors and team members to ensure a cohesive and effective program.
  15. Participate in outreach efforts to promote the Pre-ETS program and recruit potential clients.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations Related To Transition Services For Individuals With Disabilities.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Education, Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of Two Years Of Experience Working With Individuals With Disabilities, Preferably In A Vocational Or Transition Setting.

  • Strong Communication And Instructional Skills, Including The Ability To Develop And Deliver Effective Training Materials.

  • Familiarity With Evidence-Based Practices And Strategies For Supporting Students With Disabilities In Achieving Employment And Independent Living Goals.
