- Conduct individual career counseling sessions to assist clients in identifying their career goals and creating a plan for achieving them.
- Administer career assessments and skill assessments to clients to help them identify their strengths and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and educational institutions to stay updated on career opportunities and industry trends.
- Research and stay updated on career development theories, techniques, and resources to provide the most current and effective counseling services.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement career development workshops and programs.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation.
- Provide support and guidance to clients in resume writing, job searching, and interview preparation.
- Act as a liaison between clients and potential employers, facilitating job placements and networking opportunities.
- Stay informed of government regulations and policies related to career development, and ensure compliance in all counseling services.
- Continuously evaluate and improve counseling methods and techniques to better assist clients in achieving their career goals.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders to provide comprehensive and effective career counseling services.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in career counseling.
- Contribute to the overall goals and objectives of the Department of Human Resources through teamwork, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
Master's Degree In Counseling Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Career Counseling Or Related Field.
Certification In Career Counseling Or Willingness To Obtain Certification Within 6 Months Of Employment.
Strong Knowledge Of Career Development Theories And Resources.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, Including The Ability To Work With Diverse Populations.
