  1. Manage and oversee all leased real estate transactions for the state of Virginia.
  2. Ensure efficient and effective real estate operations by maintaining accurate records, tracking deadlines, and monitoring progress.
  3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and other stakeholders involved in leased real estate transactions.
  4. Negotiate lease agreements and renewals to ensure the best terms and conditions for the state.
  5. Conduct market research and analysis to determine the most suitable properties for the state's needs.
  6. Work closely with the legal team to review and approve leases, lease amendments, and other related documents.
  7. Monitor and manage lease expirations and make appropriate recommendations for renewal or relocation.
  8. Prepare and present reports on leased real estate transactions to senior management and other stakeholders.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in real estate laws and regulations.
  10. Collaborate with other departments and teams within the state to ensure alignment and compliance with leasing guidelines and procedures.
  11. Train and mentor junior staff members on real estate and leasing processes and procedures.
  12. Identify and implement process improvements to streamline leasing operations.
  13. Represent the state in negotiations and lease-related meetings with landlords and tenants.
  14. Ensure all leased properties meet safety and accessibility standards.
  15. Handle any other duties and responsibilities related to leased real estate transactions as assigned by senior management.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Real Estate, Business Administration, Or Related Field.

  • At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Leasing And Managing Commercial Real Estate Properties.

  • Knowledge Of State And Local Laws, Regulations, And Procedures Related To Real Estate Leasing.

  • Strong Communication And Negotiation Skills With The Ability To Interact With A Diverse Range Of Stakeholders.

  • Experience In Financial Analysis, Budgeting, And Contract Management.
