Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a Cyber SOC Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our organization's digital assets.   1. Monitor network and system security logs for potential cyber threats and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks.
  2. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address potential security vulnerabilities.
  3. Analyze and respond to security alerts and incidents, investigating root causes and implementing necessary remediation.
  4. Stay up-to-date on the latest cyber security trends, threats, and vulnerabilities, and proactively make recommendations for improvements to the organization's security posture.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices.
  6. Maintain and update security incident response plans and playbooks.
  7. Develop and maintain documentation of security procedures and processes.
  8. Conduct regular audits and reviews of security controls and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  9. Participate in security incident response exercises and conduct post-incident analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  10. Communicate security risks and potential impact to stakeholders, including senior management.
  11. Provide training and guidance to other team members on security best practices and procedures.
  12. Proactively identify and address security gaps and vulnerabilities in the organization's infrastructure and systems.
  13. Work closely with external vendors and partners to ensure the security of shared systems and data.
  14. Assist with the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  15. Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information and data.
  16. Participate in on-call rotation and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
  17. Continuously monitor and report on key security metrics to track the effectiveness of security controls.
  18. Conduct regular security awareness trainings for employees to promote a culture of security within the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Technical Skills: A Cyber Soc Analyst At State Street Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Various Security Tools And Technologies Such As Siem, Ids/Ips, Firewalls, And Vulnerability Scanning Tools. They Should Also Have Experience In Network And System Administration, As Well As A Solid Understanding Of Operating Systems, Databases, And Web Applications.

  • Knowledge Of Security Frameworks And Regulations: State Street Operates In A Highly Regulated Industry, And A Cyber Soc Analyst Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Security Frameworks Such As Nist, Iso, And Pci-Dss. They Should Also Have Knowledge Of Relevant Regulations Such As Gdpr And Ccpa.

  • Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: A Cyber Soc Analyst Must Be Able To Analyze And Interpret Security Data, Identify Potential Threats, And Develop Effective Solutions. They Should Also Have Strong Critical Thinking Skills And The Ability To Troubleshoot Complex Security Issues.

  • Communication And Teamwork: As A Member Of The Security Operations Team, A Cyber Soc Analyst Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Other Team Members, As Well As With Stakeholders From Different Departments. They Should Also Be Able To Work Collaboratively With Other Analysts To Investigate And Respond To Security Incidents.

  • Certifications And Education: State Street May Require A Cyber Soc Analyst To Hold Relevant Certifications Such As Cissp, Cism, Or Giac. A Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Security, Or A Related Field Is Also Preferred. Additionally, Experience In Incident Response Or Threat Intelligence Is Highly Desirable.
