  1. Provide academic advising to students in assigned academic programs, including course selection, major/minor requirements, and career planning.
  2. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the academic programs and policies at Temple University.
  3. Build relationships with students and serve as a resource for their academic and career goals.
  4. Stay current on industry trends and advancements in the field of academic advising to provide the most effective guidance to students.
  5. Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure that students are meeting their academic requirements and progressing towards graduation.
  6. Create and maintain accurate student records and documentation of advising interactions.
  7. Assist with the development and implementation of advising workshops and events aimed at supporting students' academic success.
  8. Utilize various advising tools and resources to assist students in creating academic plans and exploring career opportunities.
  9. Support students in navigating academic challenges and provide referrals to appropriate resources when needed.
  10. Actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance advising skills and stay updated on best practices in the field.
  11. Communicate regularly with students via email, phone, and in-person meetings to ensure they are on track and meeting their academic goals.
  12. Serve as a liaison between students and other university offices, such as financial aid, the registrar's office, and academic departments.
  13. Contribute to the development and improvement of academic advising processes and procedures.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all advising interactions.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or department.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Counseling, Education, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Academic Advising Or Counseling In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Academic Programs, Policies, And Procedures At Temple University.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Diverse Student Populations.
