  1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of campus facilities, including buildings and grounds, and ensure they are maintained to the highest standards.
  2. Collaborate with the Director of Facilities Operations to develop and implement strategies for the overall upkeep and improvement of campus facilities.
  3. Manage a team of facilities staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  4. Coordinate and prioritize maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of campus facilities, ensuring timely completion and within budget constraints.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and contractors to ensure quality and cost-effective services.
  6. Monitor and review facility-related contracts, including maintenance agreements and service contracts, and make recommendations for improvements.
  7. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any potential safety hazards or maintenance issues.
  8. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards for facility operations.
  9. Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program to prolong the lifespan of campus facilities and equipment.
  10. Oversee the budget for facility operations, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring financial accountability.
  11. Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and external partners, to address facility-related concerns and provide updates on maintenance and repair projects.
  12. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements related to facilities management, and make recommendations for incorporating them into the university's operations.
  13. Act as a liaison between the facilities department and other departments within the university to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  14. Uphold the university's mission and values and promote a positive and inclusive work culture within the facilities team.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Facilities Management, Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Facilities Management, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team Of Facilities Staff.

  • Knowledge Of Building Codes, Safety Regulations, And Maintenance Best Practices.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Various Departments And Stakeholders.
