- Oversee the day-to-day operations of campus facilities, including buildings and grounds, and ensure they are maintained to the highest standards.
- Collaborate with the Director of Facilities Operations to develop and implement strategies for the overall upkeep and improvement of campus facilities.
- Manage a team of facilities staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate and prioritize maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of campus facilities, ensuring timely completion and within budget constraints.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and contractors to ensure quality and cost-effective services.
- Monitor and review facility-related contracts, including maintenance agreements and service contracts, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any potential safety hazards or maintenance issues.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards for facility operations.
- Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program to prolong the lifespan of campus facilities and equipment.
- Oversee the budget for facility operations, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring financial accountability.
- Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and external partners, to address facility-related concerns and provide updates on maintenance and repair projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements related to facilities management, and make recommendations for incorporating them into the university's operations.
- Act as a liaison between the facilities department and other departments within the university to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Uphold the university's mission and values and promote a positive and inclusive work culture within the facilities team.
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the job.
Bachelor's Degree In Facilities Management, Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Facilities Management, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team Of Facilities Staff.
Knowledge Of Building Codes, Safety Regulations, And Maintenance Best Practices.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Various Departments And Stakeholders.
