Job Description

The Hope Center seeks a Policy Analyst who is passionate about addressing structural inequality and racial disparities and committed to joining a team that gets into what John Lewis called “good trouble” on a regular basis. Support the Hope Center through policy analysis and writing to promote a comprehensive understanding of the higher education policy and legislative landscape. They will provide written policy guidance and recommendations based on research conducted by the Hope Center and existing legislation for Hope Center publications. At the direction of the Director of Policy and Advocacy the PA may be a visible spokesperson and representative of the Hope Center and will be expected to develop the formats for high-level meetings and briefings, and track policy developments.

Job Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience

  • Experience working with Federal legislative staff

  • Proficiency in reading and distilling federal and state-level legislative policy for public audiences

  • Experience with legislative advocacy a plus
