  1. Conduct laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently according to established protocols and standards.
  2. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
  3. Prepare and handle specimens, including proper labeling, storage, and disposal.
  4. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  5. Accurately record and report test results to healthcare professionals in a timely manner.
  6. Collaborate with other laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the laboratory.
  7. Follow all quality control and quality assurance procedures to maintain the integrity of test results.
  8. Keep up to date with new developments and techniques in laboratory medicine and incorporate them into daily practices.
  9. Maintain accurate and organized records of all tests performed, including patient information and results.
  10. Provide excellent customer service to patients by greeting and assisting them in a professional and friendly manner.
  11. Handle and resolve any patient concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  12. Adhere to all Tenet Healthcare policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations.
  13. Participate in continuing education and training programs to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  14. Act as a positive representative of Tenet Healthcare and uphold the organization's values and mission.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Education Requirement: A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required For This Position. Additional Education In Laboratory Science Or Medical Technology Is Preferred.

  • Certification: Candidates Must Possess A Valid Certification As A Laboratory Assistant From A Recognized Certifying Agency, Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or The National Credentialing Agency For Laboratory Personnel (Nca).

  • Experience: At Least One Year Of Experience Working In A Laboratory Setting Is Preferred. This May Include Experience In Specimen Processing, Sample Handling, Or Performing Basic Laboratory Tests.

  • Knowledge Of Laboratory Procedures: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Laboratory Procedures And Protocols, Including Safety Measures, Quality Control, And Proper Specimen Handling.

  • Attention To Detail: As A Certified Laboratory Assistant, Attention To Detail Is Crucial. Candidates Must Have The Ability To Accurately Follow Procedures, Maintain Detailed Records, And Report Any Abnormalities Or Discrepancies In Test Results.
