
Hyperbaric Technician

- Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatments on patients, including proper set up and monitoring of equipment and patient safety.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and any other necessary documentation.
- Educate patients and their families on the benefits and risks of hyperbaric oxygen therapy, as well as proper procedures and precautions to follow before, during, and after treatment.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized and stocked.
- Monitor and report any changes in patient condition during treatments, and escalate any concerns to the appropriate medical staff.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including emergency protocols, to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Continuously evaluate treatment outcomes and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as directed by physicians.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and advancements in hyperbaric oxygen therapy and participate in ongoing training and education opportunities.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and their families, as well as collaborate effectively with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
Completion Of A Certified Hyperbaric Training Program: Applicants Must Have Completed A Formal Training Program Approved By The National Board Of Diving And Hyperbaric Medical Technology (Nbdhmt) And Possess A Valid Certification As A Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (Cht) Or Certified Hyperbaric Registered Nurse (Chrn).
Knowledge And Experience In Hyperbaric Medicine: Candidates Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Hyperbaric Chamber Operations, Safety Protocols, And Patient Care Procedures. Previous Experience Working In A Hyperbaric Facility Is Highly Preferred.
Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certification: As A Healthcare Provider, A Hyperbaric Technician Must Be Equipped With The Necessary Life Support Skills To Respond To Emergencies And Provide Optimal Care To Patients In Critical Situations.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Hyperbaric Technicians Work Closely With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Effective Communication And The Ability To Work Well In A Team Are Essential Qualities For This Role.
Physical Stamina And Dexterity: This Job May Require Prolonged Periods Of Standing, Moving Equipment, And Assisting Patients In And Out Of The Hyperbaric Chamber. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Demands Of The Job. Additionally, Strong Hand-Eye Coordination And Fine Motor Skills Are Necessary For Safely Operating Equipment And Handling Delicate Medical Instruments.
