- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the laboratory services department.

- Provide leadership and direction to lab staff, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with other department heads and medical staff to ensure seamless integration of laboratory services with patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in laboratory technology and recommend and implement changes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage the laboratory budget and ensure cost-effective practices are followed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all laboratory procedures and results.

- Serve as a liaison between the laboratory and other departments, as well as external partners and stakeholders.

Extensive Knowledge And Experience In Laboratory Operations: A Laboratory Director At Tenet Healthcare Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Laboratory Operations, Including Quality Control, Instrumentation, And Regulatory Compliance. They Should Also Have Experience In Managing A Laboratory Staff And Overseeing Day-To-Day Operations.
Advanced Degree In A Relevant Field: Tenet Healthcare Requires A Laboratory Director To Hold At Least A Master's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Or Biochemistry. A Ph.d. Or M.d. May Also Be Preferred.
Relevant Certifications: Candidates For A Laboratory Director Position At Tenet Healthcare Should Hold Relevant Certifications, Such As Ascp (American Society For Clinical Pathology), Amt (American Medical Technologists), Or Aab (American Association Of Bioanalysts).
