Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as an ESG Procurement Specialist Intern. In this role, you will play a critical role in our sustainability efforts by supporting our procurement team in implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices across our supply chain. If you have a strong interest in sustainability and procurement, and possess strong analytical and communication skills, we encourage you to apply.

  • Collaborate with the procurement team to develop and implement ESG practices and policies for the supply chain
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify potential ESG risks and opportunities within the supply chain
  • Assist in the development of ESG criteria for supplier selection and evaluation
  • Communicate and collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with ESG standards and requirements
  • Monitor and track supplier ESG performance and provide regular reports to management
  • Support the procurement team in identifying and implementing sustainable procurement practices
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to ESG in procurement
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and initiatives to promote ESG awareness and adoption throughout the company
  • Proactively identify and suggest ways to improve ESG practices and processes within the procurement team
  • Act as a liaison between the procurement team and other departments to ensure alignment on ESG goals and initiatives.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Esg Principles: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Environmental, Social, And Governance (Esg) Principles And Their Importance In The Procurement Process. This Includes Knowledge Of Sustainability Practices, Ethical Sourcing, And Responsible Supply Chain Management.

  • Excellent Research And Analytical Skills: As An Esg Procurement Specialist Intern, The Individual Will Be Responsible For Conducting Research And Analysis On Suppliers And Their Esg Performance. Therefore, Strong Research And Analytical Skills Are Essential For This Role.

  • Familiarity With Procurement Processes: The Candidate Should Have A Basic Understanding Of Procurement Processes And Procedures, Including Supplier Selection, Contract Negotiation, And Supplier Performance Management. This Will Enable Them To Apply Esg Criteria To The Procurement Process.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Involves Working Closely With Cross-Functional Teams And External Stakeholders. The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate And Build Relationships With Different Stakeholders.

  • Sustainability Or Esg-Related Education Or Experience: A Background Or Education In Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Or Esg-Related Fields Is Highly Preferred For This Role. This Could Include Coursework, Internships, Or Previous Work Experience In A Similar Field.
