Job Description

This individual will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and the environment through the implementation and management of our environmental, health, and safety programs.   1. Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs for the Plastics & Paint Plastics department in accordance with company policies and government regulations.
  2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with all applicable EHS regulations.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement procedures for safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  4. Provide guidance and training to employees on EHS procedures and practices to promote a culture of safety.
  5. Investigate and report on workplace incidents and injuries, and develop corrective action plans to prevent future occurrences.
  6. Monitor and analyze EHS data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and make recommendations for corrective actions.
  7. Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices, and make recommendations for improvements to EHS programs.
  8. Liaise with regulatory agencies and participate in inspections and audits as needed.
  9. Lead emergency response and crisis management efforts in the event of an EHS incident.
  10. Manage EHS documentation and record keeping, ensuring all necessary permits and reports are completed accurately and on time.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Occupational Health And Safety, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience In A Manufacturing Environment, Preferably In The Plastics And Paint Industry.

  • Familiarity With Federal, State, And Local Regulations Related To Environmental And Occupational Health And Safety, Including Osha And Epa Standards.

  • Experience Conducting Risk Assessments, Developing Safety Programs, And Implementing Corrective Actions.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Train And Educate Employees On Safety Protocols And Procedures.
