  1. Conduct research and development to design and develop high-quality alloys for Tesla's next-generation vehicles.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand material requirements and develop innovative solutions.
  3. Utilize knowledge of materials science and metallurgy to select and test materials for various vehicle components.
  4. Analyze and evaluate the performance of materials through various testing methods and make recommendations for improvement.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and trends in materials science and metallurgy to continuously improve Tesla's products.
  6. Create and maintain detailed records of materials testing and analysis results.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials.
  8. Work closely with production teams to ensure materials meet quality standards and specifications.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to materials performance in a timely and efficient manner.
  10. Participate in meetings and presentations to communicate updates, progress, and recommendations to management and cross-functional teams.
  11. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while handling materials and operating equipment.
  12. Mentor and train junior team members to expand their knowledge and expertise in materials engineering.
  13. Continuously seek ways to improve materials design and development processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  14. Collaborate with external partners and research institutions to further advance materials science and development.
  15. Represent Tesla as a subject matter expert on materials engineering at conferences, seminars, and other industry events.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Materials Science And Engineering Or A Related Field.

  • Proficiency In Using Testing Equipment And Software For Material Characterization And Analysis.
