  1. Conduct cost estimation for construction projects and provide accurate and detailed cost analysis reports.
  2. Monitor project budgets and ensure that costs are kept within approved limits.
  3. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop cost-effective solutions for project design and construction.
  4. Prepare and review project contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  5. Manage project procurement process, including sourcing and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
  6. Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and identify any potential cost or schedule risks.
  7. Prepare and maintain project cost reports, including tracking of actual costs against budgeted costs.
  8. Collaborate with project teams to identify and implement cost-saving measures.
  9. Provide support in managing project change orders and claims.
  10. Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date, including quantity take-offs, bills of quantities, and schedules of rates.
  11. Communicate with stakeholders to provide updates on project cost, progress, and any potential risks.
  12. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in quantity surveying.
  13. Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures within the quantity surveying department.
  15. Maintain a high level of professionalism and represent the company's values and mission at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Quantity Surveying Or A Related Field: A Solid Educational Foundation In Quantity Surveying Is Essential For This Role, As It Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform Tasks Such As Cost Estimation And Project Management.

  • Relevant Work Experience: Tesla May Require A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In The Construction Or Manufacturing Industry. This Demonstrates A Candidate's Ability To Handle Complex Projects And Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced Environment.

  • Strong Analytical And Mathematical Skills: A Quantity Surveyor Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Numbers And Be Able To Analyze And Interpret Data Accurately. This Skill Is Crucial For Cost Estimation, Budgeting, And Other Financial Tasks.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Quantity Surveyor, You Will Be Working Closely With Various Stakeholders, Including Contractors, Suppliers, And Project Managers. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential To Collaborate Effectively And Build Positive Relationships.

  • Knowledge Of Construction And Project Management Software: Tesla May Prefer Candidates With Experience Using Software Such As Autocad, Revit, And Primavera. Knowledge Of These Tools Can Help Streamline Processes And Improve Efficiency In Cost Estimation, Project Planning, And Resource Management.
